Workshop description
A Multi-Dimensional View of Security in the Private and Public Domain
Vila Galé Hotel - Lagos, Portugal – 17th of April 2013
In the 21st Century, not having some sort of security is no longer an option for almost every organization, either a SME trying to develop a new product or service, a large multinational corporation holding billions of personal records, or a country aiming at protecting its citizens and critical infra-structure from external threats.
A secure Europe is the basis for planning our lives, for economic investments, for prosperity and freedom.
But Security means different things for different actors and can be implemented in a myriad of ways, with a wide range of possibilities in terms of cost, complexity, implementation time, etc.
In this workshop we will look at security through a kaleidoscope, with a help of experts from several security-related fields, and observe the many different dimensions of security.
From Cyber-Security, to Regulatory Issues.
From National Security to Corporate Fraud.
From Privacy of Data to Collaborative Data Sharing.
With the aim of sharing experiences in the context of Security Innovation and Research within Organizations, the FP7 funded project, INSec, invites you to attend the workshop titled: “A Multi-Dimensional View of Security in the Private and Public Domain”, to be held on the 17th of April 2013 at Vila Galé Hotel - Lagos, Portugal.
